Our Mission

Choosing Yellowstone Valley Tree Surgeons means you're choosing more than just a tree company. We've made it our mission to create a culture of environmental awareness within our own company and the community surrounding Yellowstone County. Taking care of the environment and fostering healthy relationships with nature is a large part of the arborist job, and we take that responsibility wholeheartedly.

Our History and Community

Hands Planting Tree — Arborist Community in Billings, MT
Tom started Yellowstone Valley Tree Surgeons in 1981 as a culmination of his early experiences working in the tree industry. From a young age, Tom would go logging with his step-dad, and his understanding of arboriculture grew from there. After working with several different companies, Tom decided he would start Yellowstone Valley Tree Surgeons in 1981. We grew over time, spreading positivity and awareness of the environment. Every year we are a large part of the community events, such as the Arbor Day volunteer project with the city of Billings. Even from such humble beginnings, we plan to continue using our business as a platform to help the Earth and our community.
